Sensitivity to your Massage
Trained as a doula, Corinna brings a special sensitivity to your massage. During your session you will first be lying on your side and later in a position where you are almost sitting upright. To keep you comfortable and prevent pressure on your joints, you'll be propped up with lots of pillows and bolsters.
Corinna does not use a special pregnancy massage table due to possible counter indications with use of such a table. Research has shown that being in a prone position on a pregnancy massage table or pillow can increase uterine pressure.
Corinna is a master at prenatal massage. She sets up comfortable, soft pillows so you lay fully supported on your side. She provides deep tissue, relaxing, and healing massage strokes that leave me feeling pampered and restored. She is knowledgeable about helpful positions and massage techniques specifically nourishing for pregnant women. She also has this high-tech massage table where she pushes a button and can tilt you up when you are on your back and it is SO comfortable - and healthy for the baby because you are not supposed to lay flat on your back.
